All the best to cherished friends near and far who celebrate Lunar New Year.  This joyous celebration marks a time for reflection, hope, and unity in the United States and around the world, and is a testament to our shared humanity.

“These festivals are a safe harbor for immigrants and their descendants, a way to preserve their heritage and memories,” Qiu said. “It’s also a chance to show up, stand up and speak up.”

As we usher in the Year of the Dragon, let us embrace the qualities of strength and resilience that this symbol represents.  May the coming year bring happiness, good health, and prosperity to all.

Tomorrow, Lunar New Year, marks the start of the Year of the Wood Dragon. This holiday, honored by many cultures, signifies the renewal of hopes, dreams and the beginning of a new lunar cycle.

The Lunar New Year is a time to celebrate the coming of Spring and the start of a new year. It is a time when families and communities come together to honor their traditions and heritage, fostering a sense of unity and shared cultural richness.

My best wishes for a happy Lunar New Year to our entire OPWDD community. As we all look forward to the possibility of a fresh start
